Everyone loves cute companions! Secret of the Solstice features a pet system with plenty of adorable little friends in need of a good home. From furry to feathered, one of them will surely suit your style!
Different types of pets are available through the following NPCs:
Pets will follow you around wherever you go, and with Slime Beans they can even pick up items for you! Pets from Jarika can be enhanced with stats or turned into Mountable Pets (see above).
Mountable Pets can also assist you in battle!
To get a pet from Jarika you will need to complete a quest chain that involves talking to NPCs, killing various monsters, and finding specific drops. It may seem like a lot of work at first, but you will pick up a lot of experience along the way and get your very own pet at the end!
To get started you must be at least level 35. Find Jarika outside Brynhilld, at the Brynhilld Trisects.
He looks like a caveman. He'll tell you to find the Animal Encyclopedia, and direct you to the Job Center in Essene. In order to get there, talk to the transporter in brynhilld and tell her you want to go to Essene. Find the Job Center on your map, go inside and talk to the Guild Office Guide.
Now comes the hard part: waiting. The Office Guide needs four hours to recover information about the encyclopedia before you may continue on the next part of the quest. When the four hours have passed, talk to the attendant again to find out who has the Animal Encyclopedia that Jarika is looking for. Keep following the instructions given to you by the different NPCs (and your egg) and eventually you will obtain your pet!
